As the heading goes, this site is dedicated to Hybrid banknotes only. This is a very specialised area of collections and in general, Hybrid banknotes are usually printed on high denominations or the top end of currency of a country. However despite saying this, there are few exceptions where Hybrid banknotes are printed on an entire series. I believe there are less than 300 pieces of Hybrid banknotes issued so far (including reprints), and apart from one or two pieces, the rest are still obtainable to collectors.

Solomon Islands - 2017 Issues Reprints (Series 2013)

Added on 01.02.2018 ($10 and $50)

I have added the $10 and $50 (Hybrid) new series with the signatures of Governor Denton Hehenoro Rarawa and the Secretary Minister of Finance Harry Kuma. The $10 is a new issue with new designs as part of the 2013 new series and was issued on 29.11.2017, whilst the $50 Hybrid note is a reprint with current signatures. I am not sure when the $50 was issued as Harry Kuna was appointed to the Secretary Minister of Finance on 06.05.2015. This note could be issued either in 2016 or 2017. The $50 note uploaded here is the replacement prefix of X/1 and I have also uploaded the $10 with A/1 and X/1 replacement note too. I am glad to say that I have all the first and replacement notes for this new 2013 series for all denominations, including the $50 reprints. Solomon Islands last issued a $2 paper banknote in 2011 and was replaced by a coin in 2012.

This is the final of the 2013 series reprint with the signatures of Governor Denton Hehenoro Rarawa and Ministry of Finance Secretary Harry Kuma. It is believed that this note was printed/issued in 2017 with prefix commencing A/6. Like the 2013 first print, this is also printed with Hybrid material.
