As the heading goes, this site is dedicated to Hybrid banknotes only. This is a very specialised area of collections and in general, Hybrid banknotes are usually printed on high denominations or the top end of currency of a country. However despite saying this, there are few exceptions where Hybrid banknotes are printed on an entire series. I believe there are less than 300 pieces of Hybrid banknotes issued so far (including reprints), and apart from one or two pieces, the rest are still obtainable to collectors.

United Arab Emirates - 500 Dirhams 2011 First Issue

United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Obverse; - Peregrine Falcon, the national bird of the United Arab Emirates. This note is printed with a 9-digit serial number but without any Arabic prefix. However it appears that the numeric number 2 is used as a prefix for this denomination.
Brief Description

Chairman of the Board of Directors - Khalil Foulazi
Dimensions - 159mm x 68mm
Prefix - # 2
Date - 2011 (Released 29.11.2011)
Printer - Giesecke & Deviant (G&D)
Reverse; - The Grand Mosque Dubai. This is one of the largest mosques in the United Arab Emirates which can accommodate up to 1200 worshipers. The mosque was constructed in 1900 and was rebuilt in 1998 to include the 70 meters high minaret, which is also the tallest in Dubai.
